Storage should fit the home—not a sales script.

Battery capacity, inverter output, service equipment and backup loads all affect the design. We evaluate those details before recommending equipment such as Tesla Powerwall.

  • Existing solar compatibility
  • Backup-load planning
  • Electrical service review
  • Equipment placement
  • Monitoring setup
  • Commissioning support
01 · PRIORITIZE

Define what stays on

We identify critical circuits and realistic backup expectations.

02 · DESIGN

Match power and capacity

The battery system is sized around the home and the desired level of resilience.

03 · INTEGRATE

Connect solar and storage

Installation, monitoring and commissioning are coordinated as one energy system.

Tesla Powerwall and multi-brand battery expertise.

We work with leading solar and storage platforms and can evaluate upgrades to many existing systems. Product availability, compatibility and permitted design determine the final solution.

Start with what you want to keep running.

A refrigerator, internet connection, lighting and a few outlets create a different backup plan from air conditioning, electric heat or EV charging. Tell us your priorities so we can discuss usable energy, output and the circuits that matter to you.

Adding Powerwall to existing solar

Tesla describes options for adding Powerwall to existing solar. The selected configuration still needs a review of your inverter, service equipment, backup controls and installation space. See Tesla’s system-design guidance, then share your equipment details with us.

A clear scope for the home

Your proposal should identify battery quantity, backed-up circuits, any electrical upgrades, equipment placement, permit and inspection requirements, monitoring and commissioning. We explain the design assumptions before installation.

Battery-backup questions

Can a battery be added to existing solar?

Often, yes. Compatibility depends on the existing inverter architecture, electrical service, available space and the selected battery platform.

Will one battery back up my entire home?

That depends on the home’s loads and the battery’s power and capacity. We design around realistic priorities rather than assuming every circuit can operate normally during an outage.

Do you install Tesla Powerwall?

Yes. Eclipse Solar provides Tesla Powerwall installation and integration services where project conditions and local requirements allow.

How long will a home battery last during an outage?

Runtime depends on usable stored energy, the charge level when the outage begins, the appliances running and whether compatible solar can recharge the battery. We discuss a load-based estimate for your home instead of promising the same number of hours for every system.
