Eclipse Solar pairs visible-light and infrared drone imagery with equipment data, field context and practical next steps—then turns it into a record people can actually use.

Demonstration case

A report built to move a decision forward.

Every conclusion stays tied to a photo, a captured value or a clearly stated recommendation. Where the imagery cannot prove a failure on its own, the report says so.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Visible-light imagery documents one module with a clear surface impact area. The infrared pass maps that module and identifies a second panel with a different heat pattern. The second finding is a screening result—not a standalone failure diagnosis—and should be correlated with electrical testing and production data.

Matched evidence

One roof. Two ways of seeing it.

The visible image establishes physical context. The infrared image adds comparative thermal behavior. Together they tell a more complete—and more defensible—story.

VISIBLE-LIGHT RECORDRGB-01
Visible-light aerial photo showing the mapped surface damage on one solar panel
What the camera documents

A visible white impact area on a lower-row module, its precise position in the array, nearby roof penetrations and safe-access context.

INFRARED COMPARISONIR-02
Infrared aerial photo showing the mapped damaged panel and a second module with an abnormal heat pattern
What thermal contrast adds

The known damaged position remains traceable while a second, visually different module response is isolated for follow-up testing.

01LocateMap the finding to its exact row and module position.
02CorrelateCompare RGB, infrared, roof context and equipment data.
03QualifySeparate observations from conclusions that require testing.
04PreserveBuild a labeled record for service, claims and future ownership.

Measurement integrity: this source record verifies the 390 Wp module nameplate and counted findings. It does not contain a calibrated numeric temperature differential, so this sample does not invent one. Quantitative thermal values are reported only when flight conditions and calibrated capture support them.

Findings register

From image to action—without overstating the evidence.

A useful audit distinguishes what was observed, what it may indicate and what should happen next.

Eclipse audit method

Capture. Correlate. Verify. Report.

Drone technology expands what can be documented safely and consistently. Professional judgment determines what the imagery does—and does not—prove.

  1. 01

    Capture

Safe flight planning, roof context, nadir and oblique RGB views, plus thermal passes under suitable operating conditions.

  2. 02

    Correlate

Match each thermal exception to its physical module, roof feature, shading condition and visible-light reference.

  3. 03

    Verify

Check equipment labels, monitoring history and—when indicated—module or circuit-level electrical performance.

  4. 04

    Report

Deliver findings, labeled evidence, limitations and a practical scope for the next responsible party.

Important:

Thermography is a screening and documentation tool. Reflections, irradiance, wind, roof temperature, soiling, shading, camera angle and operating state can affect apparent contrast. Final repair decisions should be supported by qualified field inspection and electrical testing where appropriate.
